What:
Temple Havurah Shir Hadash, the Jewish Temple in Arcata, invites the community to a Chanukah Party on the first night of Chanukah, Friday, December 11. The event is held in the community room of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 1675 Chester Ave. in Sunny Brae. The festivities begin with a short service that includes lighting the menorah candles; so bring your family menorah. Dance to the live music of Chubritza or learn to dance with their dance leader. The celebration would not be complete without our traditional homemade latkes and spinning of the dreidel. For the evening’s festivities, we ask for the following donation: $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children 5-12. For more information call 445-3997.
