California Coastal Trail Public Workshop
What:
Share your ideas about how the California Coastal Trail can serve community interests and regional trail goals.
Help plan the Coastal Trail route through your community at a series of workshops from Petrolia to Orick, all from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.:
Wednesday, April 7: Petrolia, Mattole Elementary
Monday, April 12: Orick CSD Hall
Tuesday, April 13: Ferndale Town Hall
Wednesday, April 14: Eureka’s Wharfinger Building
Thursday, April 15: Trinidad Town Hall
The vision for the California Coastal Trail (CCT) is a contiguous network of public trails, beaches and routes for walkers, cyclists, equestrians, wheelchair riders and others along the California coastline. The Humboldt County portion of the Coastal Trail will connect communities and coastal resources and traverse public lands and rights-of-way or, in very limited cases, that of willing private landowners.
Information from these workshops will help complete a master plan for the CCT, funded by the State Coastal Conservancy and coordinated by the Natural Resources Services Division of Redwood Community Action Agency.
