The Studio Film Festival will feature unique and imaginative short films created by artists at The Studio from the Hands On Video Workshop. The viewing will take place on Tuesday, October 7th at The Accident Gallery in Eureka (210 C Street) as part of the Brew and View Series. It will begin at 8:30 PM. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Beer will be available for purchase with show of ID.

This collection of short films includes a sampling of creative exercises, narrative fiction, and documentaries made over the last three years. Alien Abduction is a film complete with costumes, models, sets, and special effects. War Hero is about a veteran’s struggle with his battle trauma. Shadow of the Artist is a documentary about how an artist’s disability affects his pursuit to express himself. This particular film won Best in Category at 2008 Focus Film Festival. Filmmaker Jaimal Guyann is pictured here with the self-portrait featured in the film.

The Hands On Video Workshop is one of several classes offered at The Studio, an HCAR program that provides adults with disabilities a chance to express themselves creatively through the fine arts. There are about a dozen budding filmmakers in the workshop and many more artists who enjoy acting in these films.
Join us at The Studio Film Festival to see original films created from fresh perspectives.
