Learn about “The Book: The First High-Tech Device” at the Mensa Forum on Saturday July 26, from noon to 1:30 at the Samoa Cookhouse. Scott Brown, co-owner of Eureka Books and editor of Fine Books Magazine, will speak about the history of the book and discuss how the paperbacks we take so much for granted are actually the highly engineered result of 2,000 years of continuous innovation. Non-members are welcome to attend the no-host lunch meeting. Mensa is an international nonprofit society dedicated to fostering human intelligence. For more information, phone Nancy at 768-9701.
