What:
Our first barn dance of the year is this coming Friday, January 21st, 7:30 - 11p.m. at the Arcata Vets Hall, on 14th and J streets. Music provided by the Striped Pig String Band and calling by Tara Stetz. The Humboldt Folklife Society will sponsor the dance and manage concessions. Expect beer, non-alcoholic beverages and some tasty treats. We provide ice water but please BRING YOUR OWN BOTTLE or cup and help us reduce waste!
$7 general/ $6 HFS/Students/Seniors. As always, children 12 and under are free.
We’d like to thank our generous volunteers for all the time and energy they put into making these dances happen. YOU can volunteer too and not only feel great about yourself but also get in to the dance for FREE! We especially need help from 6:30 - 7:15 and 11:15 - 11:45. Please consider donating your time and energy to keeping our dance scene alive and thriving!
This next dance is particularly special because Colin (our rock-star fiddler) will be out of town for the February and March dances. We’ll have some fantastic fill-ins but Colin will definitely be missed. Come dance the night away and wish him happy travels.
