Bar None invites the public to join us for a reflection on 10 years of prisoner solidarity work on Saturday, November 7, from 6-10 pm at the Labor Temple, 840 E Street, Eureka. This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the founding of Bar None, and an opportunity to reflect on the past, present, and future of our work with prisoner activists and the prison abolition movement.
Past Bar None members and imprisoned individuals we have worked with over the years share their thoughts on the state of the anti-prison movement and goals for the future. Bar None members will speak about the work that in which we are currently engaged. Join us for interactive displays, an art project, information about local anti-prison projects, and food. Dancing will follow the event.
Since most of our work is done with prisoners around the state, we recognize that it is often invisible to people in our community. Join us on November 7 to learn more about prison issues and the struggle to create a world without prisons.
This event is free, but donations (of money or postage stamps) are welcome. Please contact Sam at 707-601-1886 or barnone@mutualaid.org for more information.
