The Humboldt Light Opera Women’s Chorus/The Babes present selections from their 2011 holiday concert on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Morris Graves Museum of Art, 636 F St, Eureka during Arts Alive! 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Humboldt Art Council website: *humboldtarts.org. *

The full concert will be performed Saturday, Dec 10, 7:30 p.m. at the Arcata United Methodist Church, 1671 Eleventh St. This year’s program includes beautiful and boisterous songs from the sacred “Gloria”, “Hodie Christus Natus Est” to the secular “Christmas Shopping Blues”, “Zat you, Santa Claus”, lyrical “How Like a Winter” to light “Candy Cane Lane”, plus carols “Candlelight Carol, “Little Drummer Boy”, madrigals “Be Glad This Festive Day”, and more. This lilting and lively program has something for everyone to bring on the holiday spirit. There will be a reception after the concert in the church’s social hall.
