Join Redwood Region Audubon Society on Friday, Jan. 8 for a free public lecture about how you can help birds during oil spills. Speaker Tamar Danufsky, coordinator of the Marine Wildlife Care Center at Humboldt State, will share successes and show releases of cleaned birds from our local oil spill response facility. The talk will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Humboldt County Office of Education at Myrtle and West Avenues in Eureka. Bring a mug to enjoy shade-grown coffee.
