The College of the Redwoods Foundation League is now accepting donations for its “Elegant Flea” Rummage Sale to be held on Saturday August 1st and Sunday August 2nd in the Humboldt Hill Grange Hall, south of Eureka .  According to League Co-Presidents Shirley Davis and Muriel Dinsmore, this is the 19th year for the sale which raises funds for CR student scholarships and faculty project grants.  Sale hours are Saturday 8am-4pm and Sunday 9am-3pm. 

Among the sale items now being collected are the following:  house wares, tools, garden implements, collectables, fine china, artwork, antiques, toys, jewelry, clothing, games, books, appliances and seasonal items.  Anyone wishing to donate may contact League members Larry Holsen at 442-3390 or Dave Ashford at 442-9479.  Items will be placed into storage until the event.

“Raising money for CR students is a top priority,” Dinsmore stated.  Since the first sale, over $120,000 has been raised to assist students in meeting their educational goals and faculty for special projects.  For details or questions, contact Muriel Dinsmore at 445-1044 or 442-9378.
