30th Annual Choices Breakfast

What:

Six Rivers Planned Parenthood will be holding the 30th annual Choices Breakfast at Baywood Golf & Country Club on Friday, January 27 from 7:45 a.m-9:30 a.m.  Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. The Breakfast will celebrate the 39th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Felicia Brown-Williams, Regional Director of Public Policy, Planned Parenthood Southeast.  Felicia will speak about how Mississippi was able to come from behind in the polls and defeat Initiative 26, which would have amended the state constitution to establish legal “personhood” at the moment of fertilization.  Passage of this initiative would have changed reproductive health care as we know it.

Reservations for the breakfast may be made no later than Monday, January 23rd by calling Six Rivers Planned Parenthood at 442-2961.  Tickets are $30 in advance; $35 at the door.

Six Rivers Planned Parenthood, is a local non-profit organization that provides a full range of high-quality reproductive health care services for women, men and teens at low or no cost.  They serve over 9,000 patients each year.  Planned Parenthood is also committed to providing medically accurate, comprehensive sexuality education to students and adults on the Northcoast.
