The City of Arcata Recreation Division with Arcata Elementary School holds the 12th AnnualBowl of Beans Benefit on Monday, Jan. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Arcata Community Center,321 Community Park Way. This benefit honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and benefits localyouth. Enjoy a dinner of rice and beans from 5 to 6:30 p.m. followed by musical performancesand storytelling. Admission is $6.00 at the door with proceeds benefitting Arcata Recreation’sArts in the Afternoon Program and Arcata Elementary School’s Art Program. Raffle tickets areavailable at the event or at the Recreation Division Office with great prizes donated by localbusinesses.
