Join women from all over Humboldt kicking off “Vagina Week” with a staged reading from several of Eve Ensler’s works. Pieces include “Necessary Targets” a play about women and war, “Insecure at Last” a political memoir, and “The Good Body” a play about our love/hate relationship with ourselves. Attendance is free and open to the public, but a $10 donation to the V-Day Initiative would be appreciated. In 2001, V-Day was named one of Worth Magazine’s “100 Best Charities” and in 2006 one of Marie Claire Magazine’s Top Ten Charities. In ten years, the V-Day movement has raised over $70 million. Please help us help the women and children’s charities of Humboldt County and the world.
