A treat is in store for the interested community members, guests and members of the local branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) who attend the meeting at the Fortuna Monday Club (6th and Main Streets) on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012. The NY Times described Daniela Mineva as a “vibrant and expressive performer who could steal the show in every concert” and one of today’s most promising concert artists.
Her topic, “Some Aspects of European and American Piano Pedagogy Methods,” reflects her Assistant Professor position in HSU’s Music Department. That she comes from Bulgaria provides a personal basis for her comparisons. She will play a few of her favorite numbers and tell about how she teaches music. If you’ve had the opportunity to see and hear her perform (on campus or with the Eureka Symphony), you already understand the praise for this delightful young woman.
