4-H Science, Engineering & Technology Expo

What:

Humboldt county 4H invites you to the second annual SET expo on Saturday,

April 24 at the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The SET in SET expo stands for Science, Engineering & Technology. This event

will feature two rooms full of  hands-on science activities, displays, and live demonstrations meant to inspire curiosity, and love of learning in our youth. Participants can compete in a text messaging contest sponsored by Corkey Cornwell from US Cellular. As well as a geo-caching treasure hunt, with cash and prizes to the winners. There will also be a large animal workshop, petting zoo, and door prizes. Plus, teachers who come to the SET expo and use these activities in their classrooms will earn Professional Development Hours.

The SET Expo is a stop on the 2010 Humboldt Bay Symposium, and the Spring Fever Craft Fair will also be going on at the Fairgrounds.

Come  help support and create America’s future generation of scientists and engineers!
