Goes the
Box of weasels
Such a surprise
On a Wednesday;
Arriving in the mail
Wet tail
Swishing
A grand glistening
Shine of
River water
The knowing way
Of these weasels
Grown bold
Their grasping
Clasping, claws
Held to no known
Laws
(Even, against the disapproving
postmasters —
the mistresses too)
Daring to mail themselves
To unsuspecting strangers
