Bob Doran is on vacation this week. But here's some of his e-mail....

Hi Bob,
Wanted to let you know that my band, Jazz Passport, will be playing from 11 to 12:30 on 6/20 for the fish festival. We are a quintet (tenor sax, trombone, rhythm section) plus a vocalist. We play a nice mix of straight ahead jazz standards, swing and bossa nova. Hope that you can list us in your column, and maybe even drop on by and check us out. Have a nice weekend.
Musically, Doug Felden / Jazz Passport

Hi Bob -
The new Internet Radio show for the beginning of summer is up on HumboldtMusic.com.
http://www.humboldtmusic.com/webpage/index.cfm?id=870
I have also archived all the previous shows so folks can hear them.
We have a speedy mp3 stream now as well as the WindowsMedia stream. Let me know if it works OK. It works on my computer, but some folks are having a bit of trouble with the "speedy" stream.
Cheers!

Hello Bob!
Big Earl and the Cryin' Shame are playing at the Alibi in Arcata on Saturday, June 19. 10 p.m., $3 cover. The perfect ending to an Oyster Festival day, or the perfect beginning for Father's Day celebrations!
Let us know if you might make it out and we'll put you on the guest list. Meanwhile, a listing in The Hum will be appreciated.
Thanks!
Kathleen
